The Quality mark

Unlike some other quality marks, Webshop Keurmerk is independent. All affiliated web shops aim to represent the interests of consumers as well as possible.

The Webshop Keurmerk was established when the Consumers' Association announced that it would terminate the activities related to the Webtrader logo. Many web shops that were allowed to use the Webtrader logo on the website after the extensive screening process, then joined the Webshop Keurmerk. The Webshop Keurmerk conditions are therefore based on the conditions previously used by the Consumers' Association.

To ensure independence, the management is housed in the Stichting Webshop Keurmerk. The shops affiliated with the Stichting Webshop Keurmerk are obliged to comply with European and Dutch laws and regulations and with the Keurmerk code. The Stichting Webshop Keurmerk also aims to increase the confidence of consumers with regard to internet purchases, by telephone, catalog and mail.
