Pulled jackfruit wraps

  • 2 wraps from @dline_health
  • 2 small heads of romaine lettuce
  • 1 can of jackfruit
  • 8 radishes
  • 2 cm fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 clove of garlic, pressed
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 handful of peanuts
  • 100 ml hoisin sauce
  • 100 ml of water
  • Pepper and salt
  • Oil for baking

Preparation method

We received this super nice recipe from Lisa from Healthy Recipes. You make it like this:

Drain the jackfruit and squeeze as much moisture as possible. Pull the flesh apart with your hands and cut the hard pieces fine with a knife. Heat a pan with a little oil, and fry the jackfruit in it until it is golden brown and crispy (takes about 10 minutes). Season with some salt and pepper.

Then slice the cucumber and radish, cut the lettuce and chop the spring onion coarsely. When the jackfruit is well baked, add the garlic and ginger. Fry briefly and then add the hoisin sauce and the water. Bake for another 1 to 2 minutes and remove the pan from the heat.

Top the wraps with some lettuce, cucumber, radish, spring onion, Pulle jackfruit and peanuts. Enjoy your meal!
